Okay so this month as we all know is used to honor the efforts of African Americans in the past that who dedicated their life to change. So with that being said i figure periodically through out this month i will showcase the efforts of one particular African American and the leeway they made:
ARTHUR ASHE
(1943 - 1993) was the first African-American to not only be named to the U.S. Davis Cup team in 1963, but to also win the U.S. Open in 1968, to win the men's singles at Wimbledon in 1975, and the first to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1985.
